Kashmir's Independence- Persuasive

Hello! In this blog I’m going to be talking about why Kashmir should be an independent country. Please keep in mind that this is just my opinion. India and Pakistan has being fighting for years because of a dispute over Kashmir, while the Kashmiris want to be independent. This conflict is currently still ongoing, but in this blog I’m going to be talking about why Kashmir should be independent. Let’s get started! First of all, is that it would end all violence between Pakistan and India. Pakistan and India had been fighting for more than 70 years and is still ongoing. Many lives have been lost, possibly including children. If Kashmir becomes an independent country this would end India’s and Pakistan’s violence. But I also believe that Kashmir should equally share half of the land with India to partially solve India’s overcrowding.      Secondly, a poll states that 91% of the Kashmiris want independence.  Kashmir wants independence becaus...

Mahalia Jackson, an unsung hero, and the singer your parents/grandparents probably all know and love. Ever wonder who she is? In this blog I’m going to be talking about who she is and her legacy in black history. Mahalia Jackson was known as a gospel queen. As an active supporter of the Civil Rights Movement she participated in the Montgomery bus boycott and one of her famous quotes are “ Tell ‘em Martin, tell ‘em about the dream!” Okay, after reviewing her let’s dive a little deeper. The Pros and Cons of Homework

Homework is a big thing in school, people from elementary all the way to highschool receive it. But is homework really beneficial, is it necessary? A lot of people have different opinions on homework these days and today I’m going to be talking about the pros and cons of homework. Let’s begin! First let’s start with a pro! A positive thing about homework is that it increases the likelihood of attending college. Many studies show that homework increases the achievements of students, for example grades. According to High School Journal students who spend 30 minutes or an hour on homework score higher than their peers. According to IZA , homework helps students have better GPAs and the probability of attending college. Another pro is that parents can get involved with their child’s learning. When assignments are taken home parents can see what their child is learning and what their child is weak at for a subject. Parents even note that they didn’t know their child has a learning disa...

Hunger- A Living Nightmare

Hello! Are you eating something right now? Maybe some chips, strawberries, anything. Well there is probably someone in this world craving for what you are now eating. In this blog I’m going to talk about hunger, what causes it and some solutions. This blog could also be for supporters of zero hunger. Let’s begin! Food is everywhere. In your fridge, local markets, on the kitchen table, and right in the ocean! But in some areas there just isn’t enough food. Hunger affects all ages, races, and even animals in the wilderness. Anyone can think of a book they had read with a character that faces hunger. In some countries there are droughts that cause crops not to grow and eventually die, causing people to starve. Sometimes the ocean had been polluted causing no fish at all. Or even poverty, not enough money to buy any food. Another cause of world hunger is overpopulation. Sometimes there are too many people in a country to feed. Every year millions of people had to ...

Causes of Shrinking Rainforests

Hello! Are you a lover of the rainforest? Well this is the right blog! I’m going to talk about the causes of the shrinking rainforests all around the world. There are many causes of the rainforest shrinking. Deforestation, animals being threatened, eating a lot of beef, and using a lot paper and wood. Eating a lot of beef and using a lot of paper both fall into the category of deforestation, but I’m going to talk about each cause. Our first cause is deforestation. Every year an area of the rainforest that could be the size of a small state is being cut down. Of course, there are many reasons for that. Such as wood, farmland, roads, minerals, and many other reasons. But because of that many lives had been taken. Not just humans that are deforesting rainforests, but in a way climate change is too. Climate change sometimes causes droughts, and droughts are killers. It increases chances of wildfires, plants wouldn’t get enough water and animals wouldn’t too. Alright, the rainforest...
